Connections and destinations
Connect publishing accounts, Facebook groups and personal assistant services, and understand which connection each task needs.

What Connections is for
Open Connections to connect the accounts and groups you use. The connected section lists existing connections; Connect a channel offers additional ones. Manage opens the controls for the selected connection. Connecting an account does not itself publish a post.
A connection identifies the account that acts. A destination identifies where content goes: for example, a Facebook Page, a Facebook group or a location chosen for a post. A Facebook Page connection is not a Facebook-group connection.
Choose the right connection
| Your goal | Where to start |
|---|---|
| Publish to a supported social network | Connect social accounts |
| Publish in Facebook groups and organize group folders | Connect Facebook groups |
| Choose whether a Facebook person or Page posts in groups | Facebook Pages and identities |
| Talk to the assistant on WhatsApp, or send campaigns from your number | Connect WhatsApp |
| Let the assistant send from Gmail or use your Google Calendar | Connect Gmail and Google Calendar |
| Connect a desktop publishing browser | Install and pair the extension |
| Use a connected cloud device for Facebook groups | Cloud phones |
Read the status before publishing
- Connected means a connection exists. For Facebook groups, also check the selected profile's extension or phone readiness.
- Action needed means the connection needs attention. Open Manage and read the specific message.
- Not connected means that channel is not connected yet.
- Coming soon is not a working connect button. Availability also depends on your workspace and the platform's enabled connections.
The page shows your account allowance. Do not assume every team member can connect or manage every account: ownership, role and account-sharing permissions apply. Who can use controls access to supported connected accounts; only the person who connected an account can change its sharing.
After connecting
Choose the actual destinations when creating a campaign. For Facebook groups, review publishing settings: these apply to the selected profile across campaigns, not just to one post.
If a connection fails to load, use Retry rather than treating the missing status as a confirmed disconnection. For reconnect and sign-in problems, follow the page for that connection above.

Written steps
- To connect a social account, open Connections and find Connect a channel.
- Click the network you want. Here, we connect a Facebook Page.
- A Facebook window opens. Sign in if asked, and allow access to your Pages.
- Back in LeadKnight, choose the Pages you want to post to.
- Then click Connect selected.
- The account now appears under Connected, ready for your campaigns.
Install and connect the Chrome extension
Install the LeadKnight Chrome extension and connect it, so you can post in Facebook groups.
Written steps
- Facebook groups post through the LeadKnight extension in Chrome. In Connections, click Facebook groups.
- Each Facebook profile posts from a Chrome browser that has the extension.
- Click Install & connect. The Chrome Web Store opens in a new tab.
- There, click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
- When it connects, LeadKnight shows which Facebook profile the extension posts as.
Connect your Facebook profile and add groups
Connect your Facebook profile through the extension, see your groups, sync or add groups, and organize them in folders.
Written steps
- To post in Facebook groups, open Facebook groups in Connections.
- The extension found your Facebook profile. Click it to choose what to connect.
- Tick your personal profile. Groups are posted from your profile.
- Then click Connect selected.
- Click Groups to see the Facebook groups of this profile.
- Under All groups, LeadKnight lists the groups you belong to. It reads them from Facebook automatically.
- Joined a new group? Click Sync now.
- Or click Add group to add one by its link.
- Use folders to organize your groups. In a campaign, you can pick a whole folder at once.
Choose a posting pace for Facebook groups
Set how often and when a Facebook profile posts in groups: Safety, Balanced or Efficiency, and the parts of the day.
Written steps
- Each Facebook profile has its own posting pace. Find Publishing settings.
- With Automatic, LeadKnight plans the posts for you. Manual lets you set the numbers and hours yourself.
- Then choose a pace. Safety is the most careful, with fewer posts each day.
- Balanced gives steady reach, and Efficiency posts the most.
- Under When to post, choose the parts of the day this profile may post in.
- Click Save changes to apply it to all your campaigns.
