# Choose a Facebook-group posting pace

Configure Automatic or Manual publishing, compare Safety, Balanced and Efficiency, and set posting times for each Facebook identity.

Canonical: https://docs.lead-knight.com/en/extension/posting-presets/

## What these settings control

**Publishing settings** determines how often and when the selected Facebook identity posts in groups across all campaigns. It is not the schedule for only the campaign you last opened. One publication means one post in one group.

## Before you start

Connect [your Facebook identity and groups](https://docs.lead-knight.com/en/channels/connect-facebook-groups/). Check its extension or phone readiness and select the correct profile/Page before editing. The estimated number of daily publications depends on the selected hours, available groups and shared Facebook-account allowance; it is not a delivery promise.

## Open and save settings

1. Open **Connections**, then the Facebook-group connection's **Manage groups**.
1. Under **Facebook profiles**, select the identity whose settings should change.
1. In **Publishing settings**, choose **Automatic** or **Manual** and configure the options below.
1. Review the daily estimate, connection status and any warning. Choose **Save changes**.
1. Wait for **Publishing settings saved. Future publications were updated.** Future publications are replanned; anything already publishing continues.

Changing profiles with unsaved edits opens **Unsaved changes**. Choose **Stay**, **Discard changes** or **Save changes** deliberately.

## Automatic mode

Choose a preset and at least one part of the day under **When to post**:

| Preset | How the pace differs |
| --- | --- |
| **Safety** | The most careful pace: the longest spacing, longest same-group cooldown and fewer daily posts. Periodic rests occur more frequently. |
| **Balanced** | A middle pace with less spacing and a shorter same-group cooldown than Safety, plus less-frequent periodic rests. |
| **Efficiency** | The fastest pace and highest daily volume of the three, with shorter spacing and same-group cooldown. It has no preset periodic-rest rule. The app recommends Safety or Balanced. |

LeadKnight's **Safety** preset uses trusted input events dispatched through the Chrome DevTools Protocol—the reason for the extension's debugger permission—together with a humanized behavior model, which other automatic posters do not.

> **Important:** Safety is our most careful setting, but no setting can guarantee complete safety. You're responsible for your account's safety and for following the platform's terms.

**Morning**, **Noon**, **Evening**, **Night** and **Before dawn** select the permitted parts of the day. Night crosses midnight. Under **Additional settings**, **Rest day** stops posting before the selected rest day and resumes that evening; it is not simply a midnight-to-midnight pause.

Safety and Balanced can share the Facebook login's daily allowance with its other profiles and Pages; the UI shows **Your share** when this applies. Newly connected profiles also have a more conservative allowance that changes as the connection becomes established. Read the estimate shown for the actual profile instead of multiplying a nominal hourly pace by the clock.

## Manual mode

Manual mode gives direct control over the target, day-by-day hours and enabled browser methods; it does not use one of the three Automatic presets.

1. Set **Target publications per day** between 1 and 300. Each day's allowance may be up to 15% below that target, never above it; available groups and hours can further limit delivery.
1. In **Active hours**, select a day and turn on publishing for that day. Set **From** and **To**; use **Add hours** for another range and **Remove these hours** to remove one.
1. Enable at least one day. Each range must end after it starts, and ranges on the same day cannot overlap.
1. Under **Posting methods**, allow the connected methods you want LeadKnight to choose among. At least one connected method must be allowed.

| Method | The app's guidance |
| --- | --- |
| **Orbit 1** | Posts from your browser even with Facebook in the background. |
| **Orbit 2** | Posts from your browser the way a person would; needs Facebook in front. |
| **Orbit Quick** | The fastest browser method. |

Manual mode still applies pacing; setting a high target is not a guarantee that all those publications will run.

## Choose where the profile posts

Where cloud options are available, **How this profile posts** offers **Extension only**, **Extension, cloud phone as backup** and **Cloud phone only**. The connection view also describes these as **Where posts run**. Device choice and publishing policy are separate controls; the posting-device choice saves immediately, while policy edits use **Save changes**.

A connected phone is required for cloud publishing. **Safety never posts from the cloud phone.** The cloud cannot post video; media needing the browser must use the extension. Selecting **Scheduled verification** to use the cloud phone changes scheduled checks, not where publishing occurs; that option requires a successful cloud-phone publishing session first.

## Pause and troubleshoot

**Pause publishing** pauses all Facebook-group campaigns for that identity until **Resume publishing** is used. Review the confirmation before pausing. It is not a pause of unrelated profiles.

| Symptom | What to check |
| --- | --- |
| No daily estimate or add-groups message | Add groups for this identity. |
| Cannot save Automatic | Select at least one part of the day. |
| Cannot save Manual | Check target range, enabled days, non-overlapping hours and an allowed connected method. |
| Posts waiting while extension is offline | Restore the paired browser; extension-only publishing waits. Do not publish the queued post again. |
| Cloud selected but nothing runs | Confirm the phone is connected and signed in; Safety and video do not use the cloud. |
| Facebook refusal with a resume time | Read the displayed refusal and resume time; changing to a faster preset is not a repair for the Facebook account. |
| **Needs verification** | Check the actual group before retrying to avoid duplicates. |

## Choose a posting pace for Facebook groups

[Choose a posting pace for Facebook groups](https://kwqpaiaguxkmadaipfrf.supabase.co/storage/v1/object/public/guide-videos/guides/videos/D6/leadknight-en-70cbfd779405.mp4)

1. Each Facebook profile has its own posting pace. Find Publishing settings.
2. With Automatic, LeadKnight plans the posts for you. Manual lets you set the numbers and hours yourself.
3. Then choose a pace. Safety is the most careful, with fewer posts each day.
4. Balanced gives steady reach, and Efficiency posts the most.
5. Under When to post, choose the parts of the day this profile may post in.
6. Click Save changes to apply it to all your campaigns.
