# Connect social accounts

Connect supported networks, choose Pages or locations when asked, and reconnect or disconnect accounts from Connections.

## What this connection does

Social-account connections let campaigns publish through the network connection. Facebook here means Pages, not personal-profile group posting. For groups, use [the Facebook-group connection](https://docs.lead-knight.com/en/channels/connect-facebook-groups/).

## Before you start

- Sign in to the network account you intend to connect and have access to its Page, profile or business location.
- Check the connected-account allowance shown on **Connections**. A limit message requires resolving the allowance before adding another account.
- Allow the sign-in popup to open. Keep the Connections tab available while completing the network's own authorization screens.
- Use only a network offered as an active connection. A **Coming soon** tile is not available for connection; new connections can also be disabled for a platform in this workspace.

## Connect an account

1. Open **Connections**, then choose the network under **Connect a channel**. The network sign-in opens in a separate window.
1. Sign in with the intended network account and approve the access requested in that network's window. Closing it before completion does not complete the connection.
1. Return to Connections. A direct connection shows **Account connected.**; a connection needing a resource choice shows **Finishing connection…** and opens **Choose what to connect**.
1. If the picker opens, choose the intended resources and press **Connect selected**. At least one selection is required. Already-connected resources are marked **Already connected**.
1. Check that the account appears in the connected list with **Connected**. Select its exact destination in your campaign rather than assuming connection chooses every publishing target.

## Network-specific choices

| Network | What happens after the network sign-in |
| --- | --- |
| Instagram | The account connects without an additional resource picker. |
| Facebook | Select the Pages you manage; several Pages can be selected. Facebook must share at least one managed Page. |
| TikTok | The account connects without an additional resource picker. |
| X | The account connects without an additional resource picker. |
| LinkedIn | Select one available profile or organization resource for this connection. |
| YouTube | The account connects without an additional resource picker. |
| Pinterest | The account connects without a board picker. Choose a board for the post in the campaign composer. |
| Google Business | Select one location. Use **Search locations** to find a location missing from the initial list. Choose the intended location for the post in the composer too. |
| Reddit | The account connects without a community picker. Choose the community and post fields in the composer. |
| Threads | The account connects without an additional resource picker. |

Pinterest, Google Business, Reddit and Threads are marked **Beta**. Availability is determined by the actual connection buttons shown in your workspace, not by this list alone.

## Manage, reconnect and disconnect

1. In the connected list, open the network's **Manage** dialog and locate the correct account.
1. For **Expired**, **Revoked** or **Needs reconnect**, choose **Reconnect** and authorize using the original account. Reconnecting with a different account can be refused as an account mismatch.
1. To remove access, choose **Disconnect**, read **Disconnect this account?**, then confirm **Disconnect**. Destinations using this account stop working until it is reconnected.

Owners, admins and the connecting person have account-management permissions; if controls are unavailable, ask the appropriate person. Sharing is separate: the account's connector chooses teammates through **Who can use**. That permission covers reading conversations and publishing from that account.

## If something goes wrong

| Symptom | What it means and what to do |
| --- | --- |
| **You need a Facebook Page** | Create a Page on Facebook, or reconnect and edit the settings in Facebook's window to tick your existing Page. A personal profile alone does not satisfy this connection. |
| **Resume selection** | The resource choice is unfinished. Resume it; if the picker says the connection expired, close it and start connecting again. |
| No location in the initial Google Business list | Search using **Search locations**. If more locations exist, refine the search. |
| Account allowance reached | Review the displayed allowance. Disconnect an account you no longer need or resolve the plan limit before connecting more. |
| Permission error | Ask a workspace owner or admin; do not repeatedly authorize a connection you cannot manage. |
| Provider billing or plan error | Follow the connection message and contact support. This is a connection-provider restriction, not an instruction to pay again in LeadKnight. |
| Authorization denied or window closed | Start again and complete authorization with the correct account. |
